IPFT Participation at Agrovision–21-24 November 2025 | Nagpur Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram proudly participated as an exhibitor to showcase IPFT’s activities from Lab to Land at the Agrovision–2025 event held in Nagpur, Maharashtra participating as an exhibitor to showcase its groundbreaking initiatives, technologies, and services dedicated to strengthening India’s agrochemical ecosystem. The IPFT stall was graciously inaugurated by Former Finance Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Sudhir Mungantiwar, along with Dr. Venkat Mohan, Director, CSIR–NEERI, Nagpur, adding immense recognition to the institute’s contributions in the sector. The event also witnessed the valued presence of Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director, IPFT, who interacted with dignitaries and applauded the team for their commitment to excellence. Throughout the event, Dr. Deepak Jaiswal, Mr. Mukesh, and Mr. Mangesh represented IPFT with great enthusiasm—engaging with farmers, officials, industry partners, and visitors. They showcased IPFT’s state-of-the-art facilities, advanced analytical services, cutting-edge R&D capabilities, Bioefficacy studies, and industry-focused solutions. IPFT’s participation at Agrovision–2025 reaffirmed its mission to empower the farming community, foster innovation, and translate scientific advancements into real-world agricultural impact.

IISF–2025 Curtain Raiser & Outreach Programme | CSIR–NEERI, Nagpur The Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram, is pleased to share that Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director, IPFT, participated as the Chief Guest at the IISF–2025 Curtain Raiser and Outreach Programme held at CSIR–NEERI, Nagpur. Dr. Mudiam addressed the gathering and delivered a lecture on “Lab to Land: Advancing Agrochemical Technologies for Sustainable Agriculture.” He emphasized the importance of scientific innovation, its role in strengthening the circular economy, and its alignment with Vigyan se Samruddhi—contributing to national priorities and the vision of Aatmanirbhar Bharat.During the visit, Dr. Mudiam also toured NEERI’s advanced research facilities and interacted with various research groups. The programme also featured the launch of the IISF–2025 promotional audiovisual, an overview of the upcoming festival, interactive sessions with students and scientists, and an exhibition showcasing significant scientific achievements. IPFT successfully organized the Industry Interaction cum Workshop on “Biopesticides & Biostimulants: Formulation Technologies & Regulatory Strategies” on 19 November 2025 at Gurugram.The event brought together leading experts, researchers, and industry representatives to discuss emerging trends, advanced formulation technologies, regulatory strategies, and innovation pathways in the biopesticide and biostimulant sector.The workshop was graced by Prof. Alok Dhawan, Director, CBMR, as the Chief Guest, and Dr. Rajesh Kumar, DSIR, as the Guest of Honour. The programme began with a welcome address delivered by Dr. Mohana . R. Mudiam, Director-IPFT followed by a series of technical sessions led by distinguished speakers including Ms. Nusrat, Dr. Sanjay Kumar, Dr. Sandeepa Kanitkar, Dr. Vipin Saini, Dr. Amrish Agrawal, and Dr. Satyajeet Rai.The workshop concluded with a valedictory session, a visit to IPFT facilities, and the , marking a meaningful exchange of knowledge and strengthening industry–institution collaboration. IPFT extends heartfelt thanks to all participants, experts, and industry partners for making the programme insightful and impactful.

The Director of the CSIR-Central Food Technological Research Institute (CSIR-CFTRI), Mysore visited IPFT on 12th October 2025 and interacted with Scientists of IPFT. His visit has further strengthened the importance of inter-institutional collaboration in advancing scientific innovation, particularly in the domain of bio-based product development, including biopesticides. The discussions focused on mutual research capabilities, potential joint projects, and integrated efforts aimed at enhancing food security, crop protection, and sustainable agriculture. This engagement highlighted the shared vision of both institutions to work together toward impactful and innovative scientific solutions in bio based food and chemical sectors.

IPFT Signs MoU with NIPGR to Advance Sustainable Crop Protection Technologies The Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a Collaborative Research Agreement with the National Institute of Plant Genome Research (NIPGR), New Delhi. This strategic partnership aims to drive next-generation agrochemical formulations, strengthen joint R&D capabilities, and accelerate the development of safe, sustainable, and environmentally responsible crop protection solutions for Indian agriculture. Together, IPFT and NIPGR will work toward innovation-led growth in agricultural science, contributing to national priorities in food security and sustainable farming.

Analytical Skills Development Course (ASDC) – 2025 Co-Organised byInstitute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram and Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), The Netherlands during 22nd September – 3rd October 2025 at IPFT Gurugram. It was attended by 15 participants from 13 countries from Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Phillippines, Sri Lanka, Zambia, Lesotho, Morocco, Oman, Brazil, Malawi and Barbados.

on 25 Sept 2025, IPFT Gurugram and DCPC held a cleanliness drive at Dundahera under Swachhta Hi Seva 2025, promoting the theme "Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Sath". The drive saw active community participation and was graced by Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary, DCPC.

On 19 September 2025, the Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT) hosted a visit by M.Sc. Forensic Science students from G.D Goenka University along with their faculty members. During the visit, students explored state-of-the-art laboratories, observed analytical techniques & instrumentation, and gained valuable insights into research methodologies practiced at IPFT. In addition, they have also visited bioscience facility and Experimental Research Farm. This interactive exposure enriched their academic learning and highlighted the practical applications of forensic and scientific principles in real-world contexts.

IPFT Scientists Participated in BioE3 Institute-Industry Interaction
On September 4, 2025, IPFT scientists attended the BioE3 Institute-Industry Interaction at ICGEB, New Delhi, focusing on climate-resilient agriculture and clean energy. IPFT presented its key technologies and research capabilities in eco-friendly pesticide formulations and sustainable agricultural solutions. Two posters showcasing IPFT’s innovations were displayed, and scientists interacted with industry representatives to explore collaborations for sustainable development .

"The 28th meeting of the Prime Ministers’ Science, Technology & Innovation Council (PM-STIAC) was held on 21st August 2025 at NASC, New Delhi, chaired by Prof. Ajay Kumar Sood, PSA to the Government of India. The meeting focused on the National Plant Health Initiative (NPHI), highlighting the need for collaborative efforts, AI-driven pest surveillance, and a mission-mode roadmap to safeguard crop health. Dr Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director-IPFT and Dr. Deepak Kumar Jaiswal attended the meeting and participated in the deliberations along with JS(Chem) from DCPC, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilisers, GoI."

At IPFT, we marked the occasion with flag hoisting, distribution of the Tiranga to officials, and a special lecture by Director, IPFT, inspiring all officials to work with dedication towards nation-building.

All IPFT employees actively participated in the One-Day Training Program under Phase-II of the Rashtriya Karmayogi Jan Seva Program held at IPFT, Gurugram on August 14, 2025.

We honoured to host Mr. Monthol Homklintian and Ms. Sunantiya Parana, esteemed scientists from National Institute of Metrology, Thailand, along with Dr. S.P. Singh, Chief Scientist from CSIR-NPL, New Delhi. The delegation visited IPFT and held detailed discussions on the possible production of Certified Reference Materials (CRM) for pesticides with Team IPFT led by Director, IPFT aiming to enhance global quality standards in pesticide formulations testing and residue analysis..

On 15 July 2025, IPFT, Gurugram, in collaboration with BRSI, organized a One-Day Biotechnology Popularization and Skill Development Workshop for students of Classes IX to XII. The workshop aimed to ignite scientific curiosity and promote hands-on learning through interactive sessions, live demonstrations, and lab visits — introducing students to the world of biotechnology, innovation, and real-world scientific applications. Students from Shiv Nadar School, St. Paul’s School, and GAV International School participated enthusiastically and engaged with IPFT scientists and experts on various topics in sustainable agriculture and pesticide formulation. Motivational addresses by Prof. Archana Tiwari, BRSI Coordinator, and Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director-IPFT and Dr. Deepak Jaiswal-Specialist Bioscience added immense value to the event.

नगर राजभाषा कार्यान्वयन समिति, गुरुग्राम की 20 दिसंबर 2024 को आयोजित बैठक में अध्यक्ष कार्यालय, वाप्कोस द्वारा उनके अधीनस्थ सभी कार्यों की सर्वश्रेष्ठ गृह पत्रिका प्रतियोगिता के अंतर्गत आईपीएफटी कार्यालय की "कृषि- रसायन दिग्दर्शिका" नामक गृह पत्रिका को वर्ष 2022-23 के लिए द्वितीय और वर्ष 2023- 24 के लिए सांत्वना पुरस्कार एवं प्रमाण-पत्र प्रदान क3या गया।

The Director, IPFT, Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudium and Dr. Deepak Jaiswal, Specialist (Bioscience) were invited to deliver a talk at the 18th Annual Convention of the Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacy (ABAP) and International Conference on Emerging Trends in Biopharmaceuticals and Translational Research for Human Health on 21st December 2024 at Mangalayatan University, Aligarh. The Director, IPFT was also the Guest of Honour in the Valedictory function of the conference. Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director, IPFT, was conferred with an Honorary Fellowship by the ABAP in recognition of his significant contributions to Biotechnology and Pharmacy in 2024.

On the occasion of India’s 76th Republic Day, Dr. Mohana K R Mudiam, Director of IPFT, hoisted the national flag. All the staff members gathered to mark this important day and celebrate the values of our Constitution. Let’s stay united and continue working for a better future for our country.

A farmers awareness program has been conducted for the farmers from Ladakh on 18th February 2025 at Institute of Pesticide Formulation Technology (IPFT), Gurugram. A total of 30 farmers from Leh-Ladakh have participated in the program. The farmers received valuable insights on good agricultural practices, preparation of bio-botanical pesticides, integrated pest management etc. Practical demonstration of drone and knapsack based pesticide spraying in the farming field including micro irrigation facility were also conducted at IPFT, Gurugram during the event

On 18th June 2025, Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary (Chemicals & Petrochemicals), Government of India, inaugurated the LC-HRMS facility at IPFT, significantly enhancing the institute’s capabilities in advanced pesticide analysis and research.

13th Edition of “India Chem 2024”
IPFT joined the 13th edition of “India Chem 2024” organised by Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India in association with FICCI from 17 to 19 October 2024 at Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai, India. IPFT has a stall to showcase the IPFT activities and achievements in pesticide formation technology which was inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of State Smt. Anupriya Patel along with Ms Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary (DCPC). The India Chem 2024 covers sessions like Global CEOs Round Table as well as conclaves on different industry segments (e.g., Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Agrochemicals, Process and Machinery). The event is attended by various state departments, chemical and petrochemical industries including agrochemical industry and exchanges collaborative opportunities between India and other countries.

कीटनाशक सूत्रीकरण प्रौद्योगिकी संस्थान गुरुग्राम में दिनांक 13 सितंबर से 27 सितंबर 2024 तक हिंदी पखवाड़ा मनाया गया। इस अवधि के दौरान कार्यालय के सभी अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने अधिक से अधिक अपना सरकारी कामकाज राजभाषा हिंदी में करके निपटाया। साथ ही इस अवधि में हिंदी की प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की गईं और दिनांक 27 सितंबर 2024 को एक हिंदी कार्यशाला का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें अतिथि वक्ता के तौर पर श्री चंद्र मोहन तिवारी, पूर्व सहायक निदेशक राजभाषा को आमंत्रित किया गया था उन्होंने राजभाषा हिंदी में आधिकारिक कार्य करने के संबंध में, राजभाषा नीति तथा समय-समय पर राजभाषा हिंदी के प्रगामी प्रयोग में आने वाली कठिनाइयों की भी जानकारी दी गई । इसमें सभी अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों ने भाग लिया। हिंदी पखवाड़े के दौरान आयोजित प्रतियोगिताओं में विजयी प्रतिभागियों को नकद पुरस्कार और प्रमाण पत्र भी प्रदान किए गए।

34th IPFT Foundation day Celebrations
The IPFT has celebrated its 34th Foundation Day on 31st May 2024. Dr. USN Murty, Director, NIPER Guwahati was the chief guest and guest of honours, Dr DS Reddy, Director, CSIR-IICT; Prof Achanta Venugopal, CSIR-NPL; Prof S K Mehta, Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh; Shri Kuldeep Singh, CMD, HIL and Dr. Ramdev, UNIDO were attended the foundation celebrations. The Ex-IPFT directors, Smt. Neelkamal Darbari, IAS, Dr. S. K Raza and Dr. Jitender Kumar apart from Industry representatives, delegates from academic institutions and IPFT staff and students. The dignitaries have emphasised importance of biopesticides and sustainable agriculture and lauded the efforts of IPFT to meet the agrochemical industry needs in this direction. During the celebrations, the IPFT has released the revamped edition of its magazine (e-patrika) "कृषि रसायन दिग्दर्शिका". The Hon’ble Chief Guest and other distinguished guests has inaugurated the “Advanced Equipment Facility” at IPFT. Dr. Mohana Krishna Reddy Mudiam, Director IPFT has illustrated the achievements of IPFT since last 33 years. The celebration ended with two key note talks by Dr Venkat Mohan and Dr. Thallada Bhasker and felicitation to the Ex-IPFT Directors and Employees along with other distinguished guests. The IPFT and IIP Dehradun has exchanged MoU to pursue collaborative research efforts to develop bio-formulations through biomass utilisation.

IUPAC CONFERENCE
IUPAC International Conference on Agrochemicals Protecting Crops, Health and Natural Environment – Discovery and development of synthetic and natural products for health and pests management was held during 7-10 January, 2020, New Delhi, India. The conference was jointly organised by IPFT, ICAR, DCPC and SPSA. The conference provided a platform to scientists of different disciplines, industries and stakeholders to discuss latest trends and discoveries in the field of agrochemicals and phyto-medicines, deliberate on important issues of agricultural research, and present views as policy inputs to the planners, decision/opinion makers at various levels.
The conference comprised of a number of plenary and keynote lectures by the world’s leading scientists, reviewing the principal theme areas of the conference. Besides new compounds, new concepts and newer uses, the conference covered other traditional areas of research such as pest diseases management, invasive pests, weed and resistance management, exploring biodiversity for botanical and bio-pesticides, genetically modified crops, nutraceuticals, as well as research on effect on human health, risk management, ecotoxicology, and remediation strategies. The conference attracted over 265 participants coming mainly from India but also from both developed and developing countries such as Japan, Sudan, USA Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Afghanistan, etc. and included around 150 young scientists.
The scientific programme was supplemented by an exhibition of scientific equipments and laboratory supplies. The conference was spread over 4 days and had 11 plenary lectures, 36 invited lectures and 61 oral presentations in 24 sessions besides 44 poster presentations in 3 different sessions by the different participants from India and abroad. A total of 20 delegates from 10 different countries such as USA, Australia, Japan, Switzerland, Venezuela, Afghanistan and Sudan were also present during the conference. The inaugural session was covered by Delhi Doordarshan Kisan, Official Agriculture Channel of India, and was telecast on 9th January 2020. Each day of the conference started with a plenary session and over the four days eleven plenary lectures were given covering various aspects of the research and development of agrochemicals, integrated pest management, nutraceuticals and medicinal plants.
The plenary lectures were delivered by scientists coming not only from India but also from Australia, USA, Japan and Switzerland. The plenary sessions were followed by concurrent session at which a total of 36 invited lectures and 61 oral presentations were given covering topics such as pesticide residues, crop pests and diseases, exploring biodiversity for biopesticides and phytomedicines, genetically modified crops, pesticide resistance management, integrated pest management and nanotechnology. All the staff and scientific staff of the institute actively participated for the successful organising of the conference total 23 papers and posters were presented by research scholars and scientific staff of the Institute.
