Basic functions of Administration is planning, organizing, directing and controlling its functioning. The main responsibility of this division is to ensure the efficient performance of all departments in an organization. The administrative and technical head of IPFT is its Director. The Governing Body of Institute with the Secretary (Chemicals & Petrochemicals) as its chairman is the supreme decision taking body. For day-to-day financial and administrative control, the Institute has Finance & Administrative Committee.
