ANALYTICAL DIVISION

The Analytical Division is an accredited laboratory under IS 17025:2007 and is a core division associated with all the activities of the institute. The Division is accredited for chemical testing of pesticides as well as chemical warfare agents and their precursors and degradation products. In addition to providing various analytical services such as quality assurance services, Persistence and Residue Analysis in various matrices, it also undertakes R & D projects from various agencies and the pesticide industries.

The laboratory is fully equipped with the state of the art analytical equipments and is recognized by the National & International agencies like NABL, CIPAC, FAO, GTZ and RENPAP.

The institute regularly participates in the Proficiency testing programmes for chemical weapons conducted by OPCW (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, The Netherlands).

The division has four sub-core laboratories namely Quality Control/Quality Assurance Laboratory, Residue Laboratory, OPCW Laboratory and Certified Reference Material Laboratory.

Services Offered
  • NABL certified quality assurance and quality control services to in-house samples and samples from outside agencies.
  • Pesticide formulation analysis (using BIS/WHO/CIPAC specification).
